The earliest apple picked in early to mid-September. The “Mac’s” have
a wonderful crisp taste; make a great pie and the best applesauce.
to Late September:
Cortland – The
second apple to ripen in mid to late September. A Cortland is
similar to a Mac, but a little firmer for pies, and almost twice the size
of a Mac!
Macoun - The perfect eating apples. Once you have one, you'll be hooked.
These are ready around the last week in September.
Red and Golden Delicious -
Once these are ready in early October, they will be flying off the trees.
